  • Disease Symptoms: Be vigilant for symptoms of disease.
  • Hygiene and Biosecurity: Maintain effective hygiene and biosecurity measures.
  • Effective Disinfectants: Use effective disinfectants.
    • Sodium hypochlorite and citric acid (1%) destroy the ASF virus on non-porous materials.
    • 2% citric acid or higher concentrations, or sodium hypochlorite (e.g., 2000 ppm), can disinfect the virus on porous materials (e.g., wood).
